Fuller Figure Fuller Bust reviews Rago Style 1294

The glamorous fashion blogger Georgina, founder of Fuller Figure Fuller Bust, made a post about her excellent experience with a Rago #1294 girdle!

Rago has been producing shapewear for fifty years and it is one of the most talked about brands put there.  They were and are an American company who paid great attention to detail when it came to crafting that perfect piece of shapewear.  They took customer feedback very seriously and based their pieces around people’s wants and needs, constantly evolving to suit them.

I have a new found love and respect for Rago.  I love the way the company has stood the test of time and I love my new silhouette.  Top marks for Rago.”

Girdle Newbies

Never worn a girdle? If you’re curious about it, this blogger covers the basics of what you need to know!

So you want to wear a girdle? Then you may want to read this post. There is no doubt that a proper foundation do a lot for the way clothes hang and vintage clothes are made for women who wore that. If you look at these two pictures, it’s the same dress (albeit the second one has added sleeves) and the same me in a dress after a 1950’s pattern. In the first picture I wear modern shapewear, in the second a corset and a fuller petticoat, but the same bra and body weight. I think you will agree with me that the fit is a lot better in the second one…”

“The Rago Review: The Classic Corselette” by The Lingerie Addict

Way back in May 2008, during the very beginnings of the now leading lingerie blog “The Lingerie Addict,” Cora Harrington posted a few thoughts about Rago Shapewear titled “The Rago Review: The Classic Corselette”.

You can read her review of the style 9357 lacette corselette here: http://www.thelingerieaddict.com/2008/05/rago-review-classic-corselette.html

A corselette is a girdle dress. Imagine your favorite girdle extending from your bust to your upper thighs, hugging every inch of you all day long. If you like girdles (and if you don’t, you should), it’s a marvelous sensation. The tummy panel provides firm control, and the shaping bands on the waist, hips, and derriere all help to keep you pulled in. The lace powernet stretches to semi-sheerness once on and it looks a bit like having a floral tattoo.”

Retro Chick’s Love for Rago Shapewear

Retro Chick wrote a blog about the history of Rago Shapewear, what made it successful, the styles it works great with, and why it’s been loved for the past 7 decades!

“One of the reasons it’s such a popular brand among vintage loving ladies is that the shapewear from Rago is glamorous but also practical and comfortable shapewear, that gives an authentic vintage silhouette.” – Gemma

Look for Less with Rago

Don’t have $1,000 to spare on a lingerie bodysuit? The Lingerie Addict used Rago Shapewear as a beautiful alternative for under $75!

On the left, we have an example of Dolce & Gabbana’s classic bodysuit as seen on runway model Sessilee Lopez. Notice the bullet bra cups, wide waistband, and brief bottoms. On the right, we have Rago’s longline lace bra and lacette brief. When worn together, these items are a wonderful approximation of Dolce & Gabbana’s bodysuit. Best of all, while the Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit retails for upwards of $1600, you can purchase the Rago bra and briefs for less than $75.

Pin Up Persuasion’s “Secret Weapon”

The blogger behind Pin Up Persuasion calls Rago Shapewear her “secret weapon” for achieving a smooth silhouette under her vintage skirt. She tried on girdle style 1294 and fell in love!

Don’t you just hate when you can see those nasty lumps and bumps when wearing wiggle style dresses or skirts? Is there a way to fake that perfect silhouette when you have a curvacious figure without sacrificing comfort? The answer is YES!!! What is this secret weapon you ask…? The Rago 1294 Open Bottom Girdle Extra Firm Shaping.”  – Jessica Meloche
